Moose is sick

Our loved dog and friend has an illness that is terminal. She has hermangiosarcoma (abdomen cancer). She started chemotherapy today and is doing pretty good. We hope the therapy will give a few more months for Moose. We have been spoiling her and it's been easy to forgive her of her few little quirks. She makes our house a warmer place. It has been hard for us, but are glad that we get more time with her.

Halloween at the Jenkins

We're still on a sugar buzz from Halloween. Noah was definately a fierce pirate and Aspen was a gentle Witch.

Grandma Cook turns 80!

Amanda's Grandma Cook celebrated thee big 80. We had a great surprise party with the entire family. Good food, live music and yes even a singing/comedy-gram. It was a good time for all, even for her new man friend Henry. We love you Grama!

Scarecrows

We made scarecrows for the first time. It was fun, we think we'll do it again next year.

Aspen turns 8!

Aspen turned 8 years old on the 17th of October. We had some festivities with family and she went mini golfing with a friend. She got a sweet new Specialized bike. She will be baptized on the 25th of October................ Time flies by, wow.

Tyler was playing with Noah and tickling him. Tyler was calling him the tickle bug, just then Noah "tooted" and Ty said "huh? what was that?" Noah said "stink bug!" We all had a good laugh about that one.

Leadville Trail 100

Every August we venture to Leadville Colorado to crew for Amanda's aunt Judy, who races the highest 100 mile Mountain Bike Race in the United States. As Lance Armstrong said, "It's a freakish display of endurance". Speaking of Lance Armstrong, he showed up to race this year. Aunt Judy did well as usual and finished her 9th LT100 in a row. Next year we will be back for number 10! Lance Armstrong went strong against 5 time champion Dave Wiens from Colorado, but Wiens pulled ahead at mile 90 and beat Armstrong by 1 min. 56 sec. Both times beating the previous course record. To read more about the Wien's Armstrong battle, go to the following link. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=cycling&id=3527225

Pioneer Day Weekend

For the 24th weekend we went to Monroe and Marysvale to enjoy our families. We had fireworks, a parade and I got to go golfing with some good friends. We then went to Marysvale and rode atv's to the top of the tushar mountains. It rained like mad, but it was an awesome adventure.
